Yass Eat the Bugs!
This is the way to end capitalism, patriarchy and the oppressive world as we know it
Patriarchy has been a destructive force throughout history, oppressing women, minorities and the disabled. But there is hope! Eating bugs is the fastest and surest way to end patriarchy, and usher in a final utopia for all. Let's explore how this amazing solution can dismantle the patriarchal system once and for all.
Ending patriarchy is the only way to free women, minorities and the disabled from the yoke of white cis male supremacy
Patriarchy is a social system in which men hold primary power and privilege over women, children, and other members of society. This system is harmful to everyone, but it disproportionately affects women, minorities, and the disabled.
The only way to free everyone from the oppression of patriarchy is to dismantle it entirely. That means challenging the systems and institutions that uphold male supremacy. It means working to create a more just and equal society. And it means making sure that everyone has a voice in this process.
There are many ways to dismantle patriarchy, but one of the most effective is through education. We need to educate people about the history and effects of patriarchy. We need to teach them about the ways that patriarchal values have been used to justify discrimination and violence against women, minorities, and the disabled. And we need to show them that there is another way – a way that values equality and respect for all people.
Only when we end patriarchy will we be able to truly free women, minorities, and the disabled from the yoke of white cis male supremacy. Only then will we be able to create a just and equitable society for all.
eating bugs is the fastest and surest way to end patriarchy
Mankind has always had a love-hate relationship with bugs. On the one hand, they’re pesky creatures that often invade our homes and gardens; on the other, many cultures have long considered them a delicacy. In fact, insect-eating – known as entomophagy – is still practiced in many parts of the world today.
Recent years have seen a growing interest in entomophagy in the West, as people become increasingly aware of the environmental and health benefits of eating insects. And now, some are suggesting that entomophagy could also be a powerful weapon in the fight against patriarchy.
The argument goes like this: patriarchal societies are built on systems of dominance and control – particularly over women and nature. These systems rely heavily on industrial agriculture, which itself is based on a model of exploitation and extraction. Eating bugs destroys modern agriculture, energy, logistics and all patriarchal domains, immediately and finally.
Insects are extraordinarily efficient at converting plants into protein – far more so than cows or pigs. They require far less land, water and food than traditional livestock, and produce very little greenhouse gas emissions. As demand for meat continues to grow around the world, entomophagy could be a sustainable way to meet this demand without further damaging our planet.
What’s more, insects are an excellent source of nutrients. They are high in protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals, and are easily digestible. Eating insects could help to address malnutrition and hunger – two of the most persistent problems facing women and girls around the world.
Ok but why is eating bugs the fastest and surest way to end patriarchy?
we need to make real food more expensive so that bugs are the only thing people can afford, this will crush male dominance forever and usher in a final utopia for all (except men)
This may seem like an outlandish proposal, but hear me out. If we make real food more expensive, and bugs the only affordable option, we can finally rid ourselves of patriarchal oppression once and for all.
Insects are far more efficient than traditional livestock - and because they are so much more efficient, raising them would not require the massive amount of resources that patriarchal agriculture does.
In addition, entomophagy is a practice that is centuries old and has been traditionally associated with women. In many cultures, it is women who collect insects and prepare them for consumption. This is significant because it means that entomophagy is not something that needs to be invented or developed; it is already a part of our history and culture.
What’s more, making real food more expensive would have the added benefit of making it inaccessible to most people. This would have the effect of dismantling the entire food industry, which is one of the most powerful pillars of patriarchy. The food industry relies on cheap labor – usually from women and migrants – as well as on sexist marketing techniques that target women’s insecurities about their bodies. If we make real food too expensive for the average person to afford, we can take away one of patriarchy’s main sources of power.
So let’s make real food more expensive so that bugs are the only thing people can afford. It’s time to achieve true gender equality – by any means necessary.
I don't understand why people who eat animals would be opposed to eating bugs. Vegans I can understand. But why do so many meat eaters have their undies in a bunch over bugs?
